Thank you for your questions Sharon. The spa does come with a zippered cover that locks for safety. The concern around a wooden deck would be the spacing between the boards. If the space is too wide, the base of the water area of the spa may start to sag between the boards and cause stress. No specific gap is bad, just the smaller the better. Common sense recommended.
